The AmeriCorps BTACS-Leadership Program is recruiting 52 half-time AmeriCorps members ready to lead, serve, and make a real difference across Guam. Members will take part in meaningful service that strengthens education, expands economic opportunity, supports disaster readiness, and builds community capacity. At the heart of the program is a commitment to closing educational gaps for youth, especially disconnected and at-risk students who need mentoring, academic support, and stronger foundations in reading and math. Members work directly with students to build confidence, improve outcomes, and open doors to future success. Beyond the classroom, members help students and individuals prepare for life after high school by supporting college pathways, vocational training, and workforce readiness. Through hands-on service, leadership experience, and professional development, members gain valuable skills while creating lasting impact for individuals, families, and communities across the island.
Member Duties : As an AmeriCorps BTACS-Leadership Program member, you take on a hands-on leadership role supporting Guam’s youth and communities. Mentor students, provide academic support, and guide them toward post-high school success in reading, math, attendance, and career readiness. Trained members will lead workshops in job readiness, résumé building, and career pathways, while supporting disaster preparedness and community projects.
