The Construction Project Manager will oversee and coordinate all aspects of a single, water infrastructure construction project in Summit County Colorado from initiation through completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets specific to the one-time project, in partnership with project engineers.
- In conjunction with the General Contractor, direct and supervise all construction activities, subcontractors, and site personnel involved with the project.
- Monitor project progress, proactively identify issues, and prepare regular status updates for stakeholders.
- Review pay application for accuracy and completeness.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety regulations, building codes, and applicable standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Identify potential risks and implement mitigation strategies to avoid project delays or budget overruns.
- Maintain clear communication among all members of the project team, clients, and external partners relevant to the project.
- Review and oversight of General Contractor’s procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services necessary for successful project execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Previous experience managing construction of water infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Thorough understanding of construction methods, safety standards, and regulations.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple aspects of a single project.
Preferred Skills
- Professional certification (e.g., PMP, CCM) is an asset.
- 5 years+ experience with budgeting, contract administration, and resource management for fixed-term projects.
- Experience in mountain construction a plus.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities under time constraints.
