Project Coordinator
LHH is partnering with a mission-driven national organization to identify a proactive and detail-oriented Project Coordinator for a temporary contract opportunity. This role will run for the next 4 months and will offer mostly remote flexibly with the occasional need for onsite presence in the Maryland office. This position is supporting a collaborative team with a strong focus on project coordination, stakeholder communication, and operational execution. Hourly pay rate will range between $24-$28 per hour based on experience. This team is ready to begin interviewing immediately, with onboarding expected to begin mid-to-late June.
What You’ll Be Doing
This role will focus heavily on project coordination, timeline management, and cross-functional communication. The ideal candidate enjoys keeping projects organized, ensuring deliverables stay on track, and supporting internal teams and external stakeholders with professionalism and responsiveness.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing project timelines, schedules, and deliverables across multiple initiatives
- Coordinating communication between departments, vendors, sponsors, and stakeholders
- Supporting virtual events, educational programming, and sponsorship initiatives
- Assisting with grant program management, including information gathering and stakeholder coordination
- Tracking project status updates and ensuring timely execution of deliverables
- Supporting contract routing and administrative project workflows
- Providing customer service and outreach support as needed
- Identifying opportunities for process improvements and operational efficiencies
What We’re Looking For
- Approximately 2–4 years of professional experience in project coordination, project management support, events, operations, administration, or related functions
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Experience managing timelines and coordinating multiple moving pieces simultaneously
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; Smartsheet experience highly preferred
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating cross-functionally
- Detail-oriented, adaptable, and solutions-focused mindset
- Professional, dependable, and team-oriented approach
