We are currently seeking a motivated and detail oriented full-time Assistant Project Manager to support our core construction team in the New York City Metropolitan Area. Key Responsibilities
- Accurate and prompt management of all paperwork and coordination for assigned projects including but not limited to permitting, insurance, project logs and project punchlist.
- Active participation in internal team/client meetings such as project kick-off, status meetings and weekly construction meetings.
- Track submission and responses of submittals/RFIs from the design team.
- Timely distribution and monitoring progress of drawings/sketches, submittals, RFIs, schedules, and punchlists to subcontractor and JEF team members, ensuring project schedule is upheld.
- Early identify and proactive escalation of potential challenges to core construction team.
- Perform other related duties as needed.
Preferred Experience and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education, training and/or experience.
- 1-3 years experience in the NYC Commercial Construction Space.
- Experience coordinating permits and navigating NYC DOB NOW filing requirements.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, determination, and self-motivation with an aptitude for meticulous record-keeping.
- Skilled in effectively managing various tasks concurrently.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Exemplary time management and organizational capabilities.
- Proficiency in reading commercial construction plans and specifications is preferred but not required.
Computer Systems
- Required: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Preferred: MS Project, Procore and Timberline
Hours
- Monday through Thursday 8:00AM-5:00PM, Friday 8:00AM-4:00PM
