Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Civil Concrete Foreman to lead and oversee concrete construction projects on-site. This role is vital in ensuring that all concrete work is executed efficiently, safely, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and a thorough understanding of concrete installation processes. As a Civil Concrete Foreman, you will coordinate crews, manage schedules, and ensure compliance with safety regulations while maintaining project timelines and budgets.
Duties
- Supervise and coordinate all aspects of concrete pouring, finishing, and curing activities on construction sites.
- Lead and manage a team of skilled laborers and subcontractors, providing clear instructions and ensuring productivity.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute project specifications.
- Conduct quality control inspections to ensure concrete work meets design specifications, safety standards (OSHA), and client expectations.
- Monitor project budgets and assist with construction estimating, cost tracking, and resource allocation.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting regular safety meetings on-site.
- Collaborate with project managers to coordinate work or other specialized concrete applications within larger construction projects.
- Maintain detailed records of daily activities, safety incidents, material usage, and progress reports.
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in heavy civil or commercial concrete construction projects.
- Extensive construction site experience with a strong background in managing concrete operations from start to finish.
- Knowledge of construction management principles such as project scheduling, budgeting, contracts administration, and quality control procedures.
- Demonstrated ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards related to construction sites involving concrete work.
