Job Summary
The Emergency Services Project Director leads and manages rapid-response mitigation and emergency restoration operations for commercial properties, including fire, water, mold, and flood incidents. This role is responsible for directing emergency response efforts, coordinating resources in time-sensitive situations, and ensuring immediate stabilization, damage mitigation, and restoration services.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee mitigation and emergency restoration projects (fire, water, flood) from planning through completion, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
- Manage project strategy, scope development, scheduling, logistics, and financial performance to ensure successful execution and profitability.
- Direct and support field teams, subcontractors, and operational staff by delegating tasks, driving accountability, and promoting team development and performance.
- Monitor both small and large-loss projects, ensuring efficient coordination of resources, crews, and operational workflows.
- Maintain strong client and stakeholder relationships by delivering exceptional service, communicating project updates, and resolving concerns promptly.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company standards, and industry best practices while maintaining safe and efficient job sites.
- Oversee operational processes including production management, equipment and resource allocation, and performance tracking.
- Prepare proposals, budgets, and project documentation while ensuring clear communication across teams, leadership, and stakeholders.
- Travel 80–90% nationwide to support our National Response Team and respond to emergency mitigation incidents.
Qualifications:
- This is a national role requiring heavy travel. Candidates must be willing to travel extensively and must be residing in the Northeast part of the US.
- 5+ years of experience in commercial restoration, mitigation services, or related operations leadership (fire, water, mold, flood restoration preferred).
- Strong knowledge of commercial restoration services and emergency response operations.
- Proven leadership, team management, and operational oversight experience.
- Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of desiccants and generators for drying and restoration operations.
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, customer service, and relationship management skills.
- Experience with project budgeting, estimating, and documentation.
- Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret project scopes and technical documentation.
- Xactimate experience is preferred.
- IICRC WRT, ASD, FSRT, CDS Certifications preferred.
