About AHI
AHI is a boutique healthcare analytics and strategy consulting firm that helps healthcare organizations make high-stakes decisions where complexity is high and the consequences matter. We support market strategy, service portfolio decisions, facility investment planning, and performance improvement for healthcare providers and health systems.
Our work combines rigorous analytics with deep subject-matter expertise and practical implementation insight. We do not deliver analysis for analysis’s sake — we translate data into clear, decision-ready recommendations that reflect clinical realities, operational constraints, and organizational dynamics.
Clients engage AHI when they need clarity, structure, and evidence to guide strategic action.
The Role
AHI is seeking a Project Manager to lead execution across healthcare analytics and strategy consulting engagements. This role sits at the center of client delivery; translating strategic direction into disciplined execution, coordinating analytics workstreams, and ensuring insights are synthesized into cohesive, decision-ready recommendations.
The Project Manager plays an active, client-facing role and is expected to be directly involved in billable work. This position is initially part-time (approximately 20 hours per week), with the potential to transition to full-time based on performance, project volume, and mutual fit.
This role goes beyond task coordination or timeline management. The Project Manager is responsible for integrating analytics, subject-matter expertise, and stakeholder input into clear, credible deliverables that support real-world decision-making.
What You’ll Do
- Lead healthcare analytics and strategy consulting engagements from kickoff through delivery
- Translate project objectives into clear scopes, workplans, and delivery approaches
- Develop and manage project plans, milestones, and delivery cadence
- Serve as a visible, client-facing leader in meetings, working sessions, and status updates
- Coordinate analytics workstreams and ensure outputs align with client decisions and priorities
- Synthesize analytics, domain expertise, and stakeholder perspectives into actionable insights and recommendations
- Manage scope, risks, dependencies, and execution challenges proactively
- Ensure deliverables are coherent, decision-ready, and grounded in both data and real-world context
- Support utilization discipline and project economics while maintaining delivery quality
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- 3–5 years of experience managing analytics, healthcare consulting, or data-driven projects
- Demonstrated client-facing project leadership experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information clearly
- Experience working with healthcare data, healthcare stakeholders, or healthcare operations
- Experience in a professional services or consulting environment with billable expectations
- Comfort engaging with analytics concepts and tools (e.g., dashboards, metrics, data models), with the ability to translate findings into insights
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting service line strategy or growth initiatives (e.g., orthopedics, spine, neurosciences, cardiovascular services)
- Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, evolving, or early-stage project environments
- Familiarity with iterative or hybrid delivery approaches (e.g., Agile-informed or milestone-driven consulting), and the judgment to adapt structure to client needs rather than follow rigid methodologies
What Success Looks Like
- Projects are scoped, estimated, and planned with rigor and precision
- Engagements run with clarity, momentum, and accountability
- Clients remain aligned, informed, and confident throughout delivery
- Analytics outputs are integrated into clear narratives and recommendations
- Risks, scope, and dependencies are anticipated and managed proactively
- Deliverables support real decisions, not just reporting
- Work is delivered efficiently, professionally, and with consistent quality
Why Join AHI
- Work on analytically rigorous, high-impact healthcare decisions that directly influence strategy, investment, and care delivery
- Collaborate closely with senior consultants and firm leadership, with meaningful ownership and visibility
- Operate in an innovative, fast-growing firm where ideas matter and strong performance is recognized
- Build expertise at the intersection of analytics, healthcare strategy, and executive-level communication
- Join a startup-style environment with the opportunity to shape how work is done and grow into expanded responsibility as the firm scales
