Location: Nationwide deployments, travel required
Schedule: Seasonal, on call during wildfire season
Department: Field Operations / Emergency Food Services
Reports To: Unit Manager / Field Services Leadership
Position Overview
Latitude Catering is seeking Fire Camp Crew Members with CDL licenses to support large-scale emergency response and field catering operations during wildfire season. This is a hybrid role for people who want to use their CDL in a practical, team-based environment without committing to traditional over-the-road long-haul work. Team members in this role may help drive trucks, trailers, support vehicles, and mobile kitchen units to and from wildfire assignments, then work alongside the crew in the field supporting meal service, setup, sanitation, and daily operations. This position is ideal for candidates who:
- Hold a valid Class A CDL
- Want a non-traditional alternative to long-haul trucking
- Are comfortable traveling and deploying on short notice
- Don’t mind hands-on work once on site
- Value teamwork, mission-driven work, and strong seasonal earning potential
No prior fire camp experience is required. We are willing to train the right people.
About the Role
Latitude Catering supports wildfire incidents and other emergency response operations by providing high-volume field food service to first responders, agency personnel, and support crews in remote locations across the United States. Our CDL crew members are not just drivers. They are part of the operational team. That means the right candidate must be willing to both:
- safely operate company vehicles and transport equipment, and
- contribute to field operations once deployed
Key Responsibilities
- Safely drive company trucks, trailers, support vehicles, and mobile units to and from assignments
- Assist with mobilization, demobilization, load-in, load-out, and transport of field equipment and supplies
- Prepare, serve, and break down large-volume meals in mobile kitchen units
- Support daily kitchen operations, including food prep, service lines, cleaning, sanitation, and organization
- Assist with setup, teardown, and overall readiness of mobile food service units
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, workplace safety, and operational procedures at all times
- Work collaboratively with crew members, unit managers, drivers, and site leadership
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and team-focused attitude during assignments
- Adapt to changing schedules, locations, and operational demands
- Support other duties as assigned to ensure smooth field operations
