Main Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and supervise warehouse personnel to attain specific goals and measurable results.
- Ensure accuracy within warehouse operations.
- Establish, monitor, and maintain a safe and sanitary work environment in strict compliance with government regulations and Company policies
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation of warehouse operations and personnel.
- Train and develop supervisors, identifying and mentoring high potential candidates
- Successful interaction between other departments within the distribution center
- Implement best practices in managing inventories using a warehouse management system
- Ability to effectively manage personnel to ensure productivity
- Ability to work effectively in a range of temperatures down to -20 degrees.
We Are Looking For Candidates Who Possess The Following
- High school graduate
- College Degree strongly preferred
- 10 plus years of distribution and warehouse experience in grocery wholesale industry.
- Knowledge of OSHA, USDA, HAACP, FDA, DEA, EPA, safety regulations, sanitation, and food safety as required for warehouse operations
- Strong knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems.
- Strong knowledge of engineered labor standards preferred
- Excellent written and oral interpersonal/communication skills
- Bilingual skills (English and Spanish) preferred for successful leadership.
- Strong ability to chart, forecast, plan, manage, and measure day-to-day operations.
- Able to effectively interact with multiple levels within the company.
- Excellent planning and organizational skills
- Exhibits initiative, customer service skills, and resourcefulness.
