Duties include: Planning, implementing, and delivering swimming lessons, providing safe and enjoyable drop-in aquatic programs, and maintaining proper pool records in accordance with Ontario Health Regulations.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Current National Lifeguard, LSS Swim Instructors, and Standard First Aid with CPR C & AED.
- Availability to work in June, July, and August.
- Experience planning and conducting LSS Swim Program, guarding busy recreational swims, and working with adults, children and youth of various ages and abilities.
- Valid/Current Vulnerable Sector check required.
- One (1) years' experience as an Assistant Instructor Lifeguard.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

operations of the Public Works Department.
The Roads Operator is responsible for performing a variety of public works related tasks in both rural and
urban settings within the Township of North Huron. Typical duties include, but are not limited to, repair
and maintenance of municipal roads, sidewalks, parking lots, culverts, storm and sanitary sewer systems,
water collection systems, and other designated Municipal infrastructure within the Township of North
Huron.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
- Grade 12 or equivalent.
- Valid class D driver’ s license with Z endorsement.
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
- Heavy Machinery certification or equivalent experience considered an asset.
- Previous working experience and knowledge in construction practices.
- Ontario Good Roads training considered an asset.
- Experience and knowledge in vehicle and heavy equipment maintenance techniques.
- Ability to operate a snow plow, road grader, other heavy equipment, power tools, and hand tools safely and efficiently.

Reporting to the Fire Chief and Deputy Chief, Firefighters are responsible for attending to fire calls, performing ground operations, search and rescue, protecting exposures, confining, controlling and extinguishing fires, salvaging and overhauling the structure and its contents, protecting lives, and minimizing property loss. Firefighters will also be responsible for operating fire apparatus safely and efficiently in accordance with department policies and procedures. Successful candidates will be required to attend weekly training as prescribed by the Chief and Deputy Chief.
Qualifications For Employment Include:
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Valid G Drivers Licence
- Must be willing to attend training and certification courses as required by the Township of North Huron Fire Department
