A highly respected and rapidly growing Commercial General Contractor in the St. Louis area is seeking a driven Mid-to-Senior Level Project Manager to join their leadership team. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. This individual will be responsible for managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, client relationships, and internal project teams to ensure successful project delivery.
The ideal candidate is a proactive leader with strong communication skills, technical construction knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining exceptional client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage commercial construction projects from kickoff through completion
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and forecasting
- Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, negotiations, and contract administration
- Manage project financials including cost tracking, change orders, and billing
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Mentor Project Engineers and Assistant Project Managers
- Conduct regular project meetings and maintain strong communication with stakeholders
- Identify and proactively resolve project challenges
- Support business development efforts and help foster long-term client relationships
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in commercial construction project management
- Experience with projects ranging from $10M–$100M+ preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, and budgeting
- Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or Microsoft Project is a plus
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage client relationships
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
