Role Description
We are seeking a Brand Specialist to serve as a strategic linchpin between our Marketing and Education teams and the retail field. This is not just an administrative role; it is a position for a seasoned beauty professional with 3–4 years of experience who can own the intersection of brand storytelling and field education. The ideal candidate is an analytical, independent thinker who can translate high-level marketing objectives into actionable training strategies. Key Responsibilities
Education Strategy & Content Leadership
● Curriculum Development: Lead the creation of sophisticated training strategies, including high-impact pitch decks, technical one-pagers, and comprehensive seasonal updates to the brand manual.
● Co-develop with HQ and implement education strategy rollout
● Instructional Innovation: Design "edu-taining" methodologies that transform complex product science into memorable consumer-facing stories.
● Strategic Planning: Help develop and communicate training plans, specifically tailored for new store openings and product launches.
● Education platform (internal): maintain, implement and manage daily.
● Collateral Design: Create flyers, digital communications, and evites for internal and external purposes related to training sessions.
Operations & Logistics
● Project Management: Maintain the overarching training calendars (education, field trainers, seasonal school, weekly remote training), ensuring all stakeholders are aligned on key milestones including our field trainers.
● Logistical Oversight: Manage the technical and logistical execution of large-scale training and international seminars (including coordination of daily activities, meetings on-site).
● Operational Efficiency: Provide high-level administrative oversight for budget tracking, including invoices, expense reports, and specialized procurement.
Required Skills & Qualifications
● Experience: 3–4 years of professional experience in Brand Marketing and/or Education within the beauty industry.
● Subject Matter Expertise: Advanced knowledge of Skincare and Makeup is required. Proficiency in Fragrance is highly preferred.
● Technical Savvy: Exceptional ability to create and repurpose digital content and training materials for diverse retail audiences.
● Not a trainer position but ability to conduct training is a plus.
● Mobility: NY based (in-office) with 10/20% travel.
● Education: Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred.
Salary: Starting at $65,000+ (Depending on Experience)
