Fleet Operations Manager - South Florida Region and beyond
You already know what this job is before I describe it.
It's the 4:47 a.m. text from a driver stuck at a shipper. It's the load that has to deliver in the morning and the truck that just blew a tire enroute. It's running a board, reading a P&L, and remembering that the human on the other end of the Samsara alert has a family waiting up.
We're hiring a Fleet Operations Manager to do that job — and do it with the support, tools, and authority to actually win.
What you'll own:
- Day-to-day performance of a growing fleet of owner-operators (with W-2 drivers coming online under our tank lines division)
- Driver retention, utilization, and revenue per truck
- The relationship side of the business — because dispatchers can run loads, but managers build careers
- Working hand-in-hand with safety, maintenance, and sales to keep wheels turning and margins healthy
- Being the bridge uniting our owner operators and our operations.
What we're looking for:
- Real fleet management experience (not dispatch supervision dressed up with a new title)
- Comfort with TMS platforms — we run McLeod and Samsara
- A track record of keeping good drivers and coaching up the ones worth coaching
- The kind of person drivers respect because you've earned it, not demanded it
- A bilingual individual who can communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking operators.
