Position Summary
The Project Manager will lead the day-to-day execution of electrical, low voltage, and building technology construction projects, with a primary focus on multifamily residential. The PM owns project schedule, budget, submittals, change orders, and field coordination, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, on budget, and aligned with client expectations. This role partners closely with the Project Executive, Construction Manager, Foremen, subcontractors, and Accounting to drive predictable, profitable delivery.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, deliverables, and timelines.
- Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation, budgeting, and risk management.
- Coordinate project activities, ensuring adherence to established plans and schedules.
- Monitor project progress, identify and resolve potential issues, and communicate updates to relevant parties.
- Ensure compliance with electrical and low voltage regulations, codes, and industry standards.
2. Team Leadership and Collaboration:
- Lead a cross-functional project team, including contractors, subcontractors, engineers, technicians, and other professionals.
- Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and provide guidance and support to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and productive work environment, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
- Coordinate with external vendors and subcontractors, ensuring their adherence to project requirements.
3. Stakeholder Management:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives.
- Communicate project status, milestones, and deliverables to clients and internal stakeholders.
- Address client concerns or requests promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
4. Estimating, Budgeting and Resource Management:
- Estimating projects and change orders
- Develop and manage project budgets, ensuring effective cost control and resource allocation.
- Managing the project submittal process
- Procure necessary materials, equipment, and services in coordination with procurement teams.
- Monitor project expenses, track financial performance, and report variances as required.
- Optimize resource utilization, including labor, equipment, and materials, to maximize project efficiency.
5. Quality Assurance and Risk Management:
- Implement quality control processes to ensure construction activities meet project specifications and standards.
- Monitor and manage project risks, proactively identifying potential issues and developing mitigation strategies.
- Conduct regular inspections and tests to verify compliance with safety and performance requirements.
- Document and report project progress, deviations, and resolutions.
6. Regulatory Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with local building codes, electrical regulations, and safety standards.
- Coordinate with relevant authorities and obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, regulatory changes, and best practices in construction management.
7. Continuous Improvement:
- Analyze project performance, identify areas for improvement, and implement corrective actions.
- Foster a culture of innovation and explore new technologies and methodologies for enhanced construction practices.
- Contribute to the development of best practices, standard operating procedures, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in electrical construction, with multifamily residential project experience strongly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of electrical and low voltage systems, including design principles, installation, and troubleshooting.
- Demonstrated understanding of construction project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality construction projects.
- Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety standards governing construction projects and electrical systems.
- Experience in managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and subcontractors.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or similar credentials are desirable.
- Experience in electrical, low voltage, or systems projects within the construction industry is highly advantageous.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred — ability to communicate with field crews, subcontractors, and clients in both English and Spanish.
- Demonstrated experience managing submittals end-to-end (logging, routing, approval, distribution) and writing/pricing change orders independently.
- Located in or willing to work in Florida (Central or South Florida).

Working Conditions/Physical Effort
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, and/or being on feet at construction job sites
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds at times.
- Ability and willingness to travel on overnight or multi-day trips as necessary.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
