About the Role:
This is a rare opportunity to serve at the highest level of the U.S. government. The White House Military Office (WHMO) is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated GS-14 Mechanical Engineer to join our elite team of project managers. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing critical infrastructure projects within a zero-defect environment, ensuring the seamless operation of facilities that support the President of the United States. This is a high-stakes, high-reliability position where precision, technical expertise, and unwavering integrity are paramount.
Key Duties:
Manage the entire lifecycle of complex mechanical engineering projects, from conception and design to execution and commissioning.
Oversee projects related to physical infrastructure, including HVAC, plumbing, and specialized mechanical systems within a secure environment.
Coordinate with a diverse team of technical experts, contractors, and government stakeholders to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Operate within a fast-paced, zero-defect environment, applying rigorous project management principles to mitigate risk and ensure mission success.
Mandatory Requirements:
Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET-accredited institution.
Clearance: Must be a U.S. Citizen able to obtain and maintain a Top Secret/SCI security clearance and be adjudicated for Presidential Support Duty (PSD). An existing TS/SCI clearance is highly desirable.
Experience: Extensive project management experience with a proven track record of managing physical infrastructure projects. Experience within the Dept of War is strongly preferred.
