About the RoleJoin Spartan Scientific (a division of Canfield Industries) and work on real, production-ready hardware.
This role focuses on the design and development of:
- Solenoid valves
- Electro-pneumatic systems
- Fluid control products used in industrial applications
You’ll take projects from concept → testing → production, working closely with manufacturing, suppliers, and internal teams.
What You’ll Work On- Direct-acting solenoid valves (2-way, 3-way)
- Air-piloted and media-separated valves
- Proportional flow control systems
- Custom valve assemblies
What You’ll Do- Design parts, assemblies, and drawings (SolidWorks or similar)
- Improve product performance, reliability, and manufacturability
- Support prototyping, testing, and validation (pressure, flow, durability)
- Partner with manufacturing on DFM/DFA and production issues
- Troubleshoot design and field-related challenges
- Collaborate with electrical and cross-functional teams
What You Need- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- 3–5+ years of mechanical design or manufacturing experience
- CAD experience (SolidWorks preferred)
- Understanding of GD&T and manufacturing processes
Nice to Have- Experience with valves, pneumatics, or fluid power systems
- Exposure to FEA or simulation tools
- Manufacturing environment experience
- Familiarity with ERP/PLM systems
