About the Role
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineering Manager to join De Nora Water Technologies.
The role operates across the full engineering lifecycle, from concept and design through manufacturing, installation, and operational support, contributing to system‑level solutions that support project execution, manufacturing efficiency, and commercial activities. A strong analytical mindset is essential to evaluate technical alternatives, risks, and impacts, ensuring robust, compliant, and cost‑effective solutions.
In this role, you will lead the design and development of complex mechanical products and systems, ensuring technical accuracy, standardization, and continuous improvement. You will work closely with Designers, engineers, Project Managers, customers, and Sales teams, providing technical leadership throughout project execution and proposal phases.
Main Task and Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage and self‑monitor daily engineering activities with a high level of autonomy,
- Deliver engineering solutions in line with project schedules, cost targets and technical specifications,
- Ensure compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and applicable health and safety procedures,
- Monitor and control engineering costs, timelines and technical risks,
- Provide engineering judgment and problem‑solving support on complex technical issues,
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering processes, tools and ways of working,
- Collaborate closely with Designers, Project Managers, Operations and Manufacturing teams,
- Communicate technical concepts and decisions clearly to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Education and Professional Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field, with 8–10 years of experience in mechanical engineering or a comparable industrial environment
- Solid experience in manufacturing or industrial environments, working on complex mechanical systems, preferably related to water or fluid treatment applications, including the development and interpretation of P&ID drawings
- Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, practices, and procedures, with experience collaborating in cross‑functional teams alongside Designers, Project Managers, and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in CAD tools and Windows‑based applications, with familiarity with SAP, Microsoft Project, and Microsoft Office; experience using Autodesk Inventor is considered a plus
- PLC programming experience and EIT or PE certification are considered a plus
