Logistics Manager
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a results-driven Logistics Manager to lead outbound logistics, warehousing, and distribution operations within a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role has full ownership of finished goods movement, from warehouse through customer delivery, and is critical to ensuring service levels, cost control, and operational efficiency.
This position is ideal for a logistics leader with experience in manufacturing, furniture, or heavy goods environments who can balance strategic planning with hands-on operational execution.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead and manage all outbound logistics operations, including warehousing, shipping, and delivery
Ensure on-time, accurate dispatch of finished goods to customers
Negotiate and manage relationships with freight carriers, transportation providers, and 3PL partners
Monitor shipping schedules, track deliveries, and resolve transportation issues or delays
Oversee warehouse operations including storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
Maintain accurate inventory levels and implement cycle counting processes
Optimize warehouse layout, freight routing, and delivery strategies to reduce cost and improve efficiency
Lead, develop, and manage logistics and warehouse teams
Enforce safety standards, compliance requirements, and company policies
Prepare KPI reports, cost analyses, and performance dashboards
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics, transportation, and warehousing
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field
5 or more years of experience in logistics or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment
Proven experience overseeing warehousing, transportation, and inventory operations
Strong working knowledge of ERP, WMS, TMS, or logistics management systems
Experience managing freight contracts, carriers, and third-party logistics providers
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Data-driven and comfortable managing KPIs and operational metrics
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE
Furniture, wood products, or heavy goods manufacturing
Managing large-scale distribution or multi-site logistics operations
Lean, process improvement, or cost-reduction initiatives
Professional certifications such as APICS CSCP, CILT, or similar
