Akkodis is seeking a
Data Center Technician L2 for a
Contract with a client in
Sparks, NV. The ideal candidate is responsible for responsible for troubleshooting servers, network, and hardware issues to ensure reliable data center operations.
Rate Range: $35/hour to $40/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Data Center Technician L2 Job Responsibilities Include
- Troubleshoot server hardware and network connectivity issues, isolating root causes and restoring normal operations.
- Install, replace, and return server components (e.g., disks, memory, power supplies) and update firmware as required.
- Configure basic server settings, including IP addresses and default login credentials.
- Assist network administrators by replacing, rerouting, and labeling cables, optics, and connectors across servers and switches.
- Perform rack‑and‑stack activities for servers and switches, including temporary installations and structured cabling.
- Use basic Linux commands to validate system status, support diagnostics, and assist with server configuration tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related technical field (or equivalent hands‑on experience).
- 2–5 years of experience working in a data center environment supporting servers and network infrastructure.
- Hands‑on experience troubleshooting server hardware, cabling (fiber/copper), connectors, and basic network components.
- Working knowledge of basic Linux commands, along with strong communication skills and adherence to data center safety and security protocols.

Pay Details: $35.00 to $40.00 per hour
