Job Position: VP of Operations -Production

Role Summary
The Vice President of Operations leads the company’s operational strategy and execution as Client transitions from R&D into production and deployment of microreactors.
This executive is responsible for scaling production, building operational infrastructure, and ensuring reliable execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and facilities.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Leadership:
- Own the end-to-end operational strategy for reactor development, manufacturing, and deployment.
- Scale operations from prototype development to factory-based reactor production.
- Oversee cross-functional execution across engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and program management.
Manufacturing & Production
- Build and scale nuclear reactor manufacturing capabilities.
- Lead factory planning, tooling strategy, and process engineering.
- Implement quality systems appropriate for nuclear-grade hardware production.
Supply Chain & Procurement
- Develop supply chains for nuclear-grade components.
- Manage strategic vendor relationships and long-lead components.
- Ensure regulatory and quality compliance across suppliers.
Facilities & Infrastructure
- Oversee facilities development including R&D labs, production sites, and test environments.
- Support the company’s preparation for reactor testing and customer deployment.
Program Execution
- Ensure operational readiness for customer projects and technology demonstrations.
- Coordinate execution across engineering teams and external stakeholders.
Regulatory & Safety
- Ensure compliance with nuclear safety, export controls, and regulatory frameworks.
- Build operational processes aligned with nuclear industry standards.
Qualifications
Required:
- 15+ years in operations leadership in energy, aerospace, nuclear, or advanced manufacturing
- Experience scaling hardware manufacturing organizations
- Strong cross-functional leadership across engineering and supply chain
- Experience operating in high-regulation environments
Preferred
- Nuclear power, aerospace propulsion, or defense hardware background
- Experience with factory ramp / advanced manufacturing
- Familiarity with NQA-1 or nuclear quality standards
