The Opportunity
We are seeking a world-class Chief Operating Officer to serve as the operational backbone of Bronx Banco. The COO will oversee Finance, Operations, Supply Chain, and IT — partnering closely with the CEO, who leads Design, Creative, and overall brand vision.
This is a hands-on leadership role for a proven operator who thrives in high-growth, brand-driven environments. You bring both startup agility and corporate discipline: building structure, strategic clarity, and scalable infrastructure while staying close to the details that matter.
Key Responsibilities
• Partner with the CEO to develop and execute actionable strategic plans tied to brand and growth milestones.
• Translate vision into operational roadmaps, KPIs, and measurable outcomes across all business units.
• Lead annual planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes with rigor and transparency.
Fashion Lifecycle & Supply Chain Ownership
• Own the full fashion lifecycle — from design handoff and tech pack development through overseas production, factory management, QC, logistics, and final delivery.
• Manage and grow relationships with manufacturing partners, including Asia-based factories; travel to China and other production markets as required to ensure quality, timelines, and cost targets are met.
• Drive gross margin improvement through strategic sourcing, costing discipline, and production efficiency.
• Oversee seasonal production calendars, ensuring on-time delivery across both apparel and the new bags & accessories category.
• Lead vendor negotiation, compliance standards, and supply chain risk management.
E-Commerce & DTC Operations
• Oversee Shopify and DTC channel operations, ensuring a seamless, on-brand customer experience from browsing to fulfillment.
• Partner with marketing and creative teams to align operational capabilities with campaign and launch cadences.
• Improve order management, inventory accuracy, and returns processes to support growth across digital and wholesale channels.
Financial Oversight
• Oversee finance function including P&L management, budgeting, cash flow strategy, and accounts payable.
• Ensure robust financial controls, reporting infrastructure, and visibility across the organization.
• Provide the CEO with clear, concise, data-driven financial insights to support decision-making.
Organizational Development
• Build organizational structure that supports growth and clarity of roles as we scale.
• Implement processes that streamline cross-functional communication and decision-making.
• Foster a culture of accountability, performance, and operational excellence.
• Recruit and develop high-performing operational leaders across supply chain, finance, and operations.
IT & Systems Infrastructure
• Ensure technology — including Shopify, ERP, and reporting tools — enables scalability, automation, and cross-functional alignment.
• Improve data integrity and reporting visibility across all departments.
• Manage the IT consultant and overall technology accountability.
Executive Partnership
• Manage up effectively — keeping the CEO equipped with clear, timely, data-driven insights.
• Serve as a trusted strategic sounding board and constructive challenger to executive decision-making.
• Represent operational leadership in board-level and investor conversations as needed.
Ideal Candidate Profile
• 12+ years of senior operational leadership experience; finance background a strong plus.
• Deep expertise in the fashion lifecycle — from initial design through production, overseas sourcing, logistics, and omnichannel retail.
• Proven experience managing Asia-based manufacturing relationships, with willingness and ability to travel to China and other production markets regularly.
• Hands-on experience with Shopify or comparable DTC/e-commerce platforms at an operational level.
• Track record of scaling businesses from entrepreneurial stage to structured, process-driven organizations.
• Strong financial acumen with demonstrated ability to manage P&L, cash flow, and cost structure.
• Experience in luxury fashion, contemporary apparel, accessories, or adjacent consumer goods strongly preferred.
• Executive maturity with strong communication, influence, and cross-functional leadership skills.
• Comfortable operating both strategically and tactically — a true builder who rolls up their sleeves.

Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: $200,000 – $225,000
• Performance-based annual bonus $30,000
