Senior Vice President, Technology and Enterprise Systems
Position Overview
The Senior Vice President, Technology and Enterprise Systems, is responsible for the oversight, security, provisioning, and performance of Avenue5’s enterprise technology environment. This role ensures that enterprise systems, software platforms, and end-user technology are secure, well-governed, and structured to support continued growth and operational excellence.
This leader maintains a comprehensive view of the technology ecosystem across Avenue5, including enterprise software such as Microsoft 365 and Adobe, cloud infrastructure, file systems, property management technologies, identity and access management, and end-user hardware. This role is accountable for governance, security, integration, provisioning, and operational reliability across the enterprise.
This role partners across all departments to ensure technology is deployed consistently, suppliers are effectively managed, and systems support both operational execution and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities And Objectives
Enterprise Technology Strategy and Transformation
- Define and execute a technology roadmap aligned with business priorities
- Align enterprise platforms into a cohesive, scalable ecosystem
- Establish architectural standards and governance
- Balance speed, cost, and long-term sustainability
Technology Operations, Software and Hardware Management
- Oversee enterprise software, including Microsoft 365, Adobe, and cloud platforms
- Manage file systems, data storage, and collaboration tools
- Oversee hardware lifecycle, including procurement, provisioning, and support
- Own access controls, provisioning, and lifecycle management
- Lead and oversee the company’s help desk function, including the team responsible for end-user support, ensuring high-quality service, responsiveness, and operational efficiency
Cybersecurity and Governance
- Lead a security-first operating model
- Oversee monitoring, vulnerability management, and incident response
- Maintain governance and compliance frameworks
- Ensure supplier and internal accountability for controls and risk
Cross-Functional Partnership and Enablement
- Partner with Avenue5 departments to ensure technology is consistently evaluated, approved, and deployed in alignment with enterprise standards, eliminating siloed decision-making and promoting solutions that support multiple functions
- Guide system selection and implementation
- Support business-led technology initiatives
- Ensure enterprise alignment while supporting departmental needs
Supplier Management, Procurement, and Standards
- Lead supplier selection, procurement, and contract negotiations
- Ensure contracts define performance and security expectations
- Hold suppliers accountable to service levels and outcomes
- Prevent duplication and unnecessary complexity
Infrastructure And Workplace Experience
- Advance cloud-first architecture
- Improve secure access and endpoint management
- Deliver reliable and intuitive workplace technology
Leadership and Team Development
- Lead teams across infrastructure, security, and support
- Set accountability and performance standards
- Build a culture of ownership and responsiveness
Qualifications
- 12 plus years of leadership experience in enterprise technology
- Experience in multi-site environments preferred
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft platforms and enterprise systems
- Experience managing software and hardware environments
- Proven ability to bring structure to complex environments
- Strong executive communication and leadership skills
- Experience in the multifamily industry and familiarity with platforms such as Yardi, RealPage, and Salesforce is preferred but not required
