OVERVIEWElectrolit Manufacturing USA (EMUSA) is a new, state-of-the-art beverage manufacturing facility in Waco, TX. The 640,000 sq ft. Facility is situated in the Texas Central Industrial Park and will be operating on a 24/7 schedule. The facility will manufacture and distribute the 26 flavors of Electrolit™ - the fastest growing isotonic hydration beverage in the US.
POSITION SUMMARYThe Logistics Coordinator – Rail & Transportation is responsible for managing the end-to-end movement of inventory from inbound raw materials through finished goods delivery to customers. This role owns the coordination, execution, and visibility of all transportation activities, with a strong emphasis on rail shipping operations and direct collaboration with Class I rail carriers. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience coordinating rail shipments, understands rail scheduling and compliance requirements, and can manage complex inventory flows in a high-volume beverage manufacturing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESRail Transportation Management (Primary Focus)
Coordinate outbound and inbound rail shipments with Class I, Easter Carriers and short line-rail operators (e.g., BNSF, CSX)
Manage railcar scheduling, placement requests, releases, and regular and rule 11 billing accuracy
Monitor railcar cycle times, demurrage exposure, and dwell performance
Ensure compliance with rail loading requirements, weight distribution, and securement standards
Act as primary liaison between plant operations, rail carriers, and 3PL partners
Track rail movements from plant departure through final delivery to customer or distribution center
Resolve service disruptions, transit delays, and rail access issues proactively
End-to-End Inventory Flow OwnershipOversee the full inventory movement lifecycle:Inbound raw materials (truck and rail)
Warehouse storage and inventory control
Production support stagingOutbound finished goods via truck and rail
Ensure real-time inventory visibility and system accuracy within WMS/TMS
Align transportation schedules with production planning and customer delivery commitments
Support seamless dock scheduling and yard management coordination
Truckload & Multimodal CoordinationSchedule FTL, LTL, and intermodal shipments as required
Manage carrier communication and performance tracking
Optimize load planning for cost efficiency and service reliability
Yard managementDocumentation & Regulatory CompliancePrepare and validate Waybills, bills of Lading, rail shipping instructions, invoices, and required documentation
Ensure compliance with transportation regulations, weight limits, and internal safety standards
Maintain accurate shipment records for audits and financial reconciliation
Insurance claims – truck and rail
Performance Management & Continuous Improvement
Track and report KPI’s including:OTIF (On-time In-Full)
Railcar dwell time
Demurrage costsFreight cost per unit
Inventory accuracyIdentify cost-saving and service improvement opportunities within rail and truck networks
Support CI/Lean initiatives focused on reducing transportation waste and improving velocity

QUALIFICATIONSRequired3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain, or transportation coordination
Direct experience coordinating rail shipments with Class I and/or Easter rail carriers
Strong understanding of railcar scheduling, demurrage, and rail billing processes
Experience managing end-to-end inventory flow in a manufacturing environment
Proficiency in WMS, TMS, YMS and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, reporting, data analysis)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Must be fluent in English and Spanish
PreferredExperience in beverage, food, or high-volume CPG manufacturing
Experience working within an SQF or regulated manufacturing environment
Associate or bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or business
WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDSThis position is primarily performed in an office environment during standard business hours. The role involves regular use of a computer, telephone, and other standard office equipment. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate office equipment. Occasional standing, walking, bending, reaching, and light physical activity may be required. The employee may occasionally be required to lift or move items weighing up to 15 pounds. Employees in this role may have occasional exposure to the manufacturing and production environment, including noise, moving equipment, temperature variations, and wet or humid conditions. When entering production areas, appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn in accordance with company policy. Noise levels in the primary office environment are typically low to moderate. Work schedules may include extended shifts, overtime, weekends, and/or holidays based on production demands.
