About Us

We are a specialized commercial flooring contractor based in Elmira, Michigan. We handle high-quality demolition and installation of rubber flooring in major big-box retail stores across the country. Our projects are fast-paced, overnight (typically Sunday–Thursday nights), and done with small, efficient crews. We value precision, safety, reliability, and teamwork.

Important Note for Applicants:

We are looking for candidates who live within a 40-mile radius of our Elmira shop. This role involves meeting at our shop to load trucks and depart for out-of-town projects. Out-of-state or distant applicants will not be considered.

Pay:

Competitive weekly salary starting at $1,785, increasing to $2,085+ once leading your own crew (with potential for higher based on experience and performance). Regular performance bonuses available.

Travel Schedule:

Overnight projects lasting 3–5 nights each, with crews often moving directly to the next site. Expect extended periods on the road (several weeks at a time), but you return to the Elmira area between cycles.

Job Summary
We’re seeking experienced, reliable Crew Leaders to lead small teams (3–4 people total) on out-of-town commercial flooring projects. This is a hands-on leadership role that includes travel, overnight work, and managing logistics. You’ll ensure safe, high-quality installation while keeping projects on schedule.

We provide full training in our specialized rubber flooring process—no prior rubber flooring experience is required if you have a strong background as a flooring professional.

Responsibilities

Lead and supervise a team on commercial flooring projects, ensuring efficient workflow and high-quality workmanship.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute flooring layout.
Prepare job sites by setting up fencing and CO detectors.
Determining the correct equipment needed for demo nights, ensure all safety procedures are followed at every stage.
Install flooring with high attention to detail and workmanship.
Maintain detailed documentation of project progress and safety compliance; complete shift reports and logs accurately.

Experience

Proven experience in flooring installation
Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical instructions
Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and floor equipment including grinders and vacuums
Prior leadership experience as a crew leader is preferred.
Valid driver’s license with clean record (preferred) and experience towing enclosed trailers
Legally authorized to work in the United States
Ability to lead and motivate a small crew in a fast-paced, overnight environment
Must live within 40 miles of Elmira, MI (and be able to reliably meet at our shop for departures)
Physically fit for manual labor (lifting, kneeling, demolition work during overnight shifts)
Reliable, safety-minded, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
