The Role We are seeking a Spanish-speaking educator to help cultivate curiosity and a love for learning in the youth of Las Marías. This unique role blends holistic education with agroecology, providing immersive experiences for children while managing school and community gardens. You will collaborate across teams to ensure our educational spaces remain organized, intentional, and aligned with our mission. What We Do Plenitud PR is a hub for long-term sustainable solutions. Our AmeriCorps State members focus on: Environmental Stewardship: Training young farmers in agroecology to improve food security and reduce environmental impact. Disaster Services: Educating the community on rainwater harvesting, bioconstruction, and emergency shelters through our Resiliency Hub. Healthy Futures: Promoting nutrition through fresh, local produce and our Amo mis Abus program, which provides hot vegetarian meals and companionship to vulnerable elders. Requirements & Impact Location: Based at our Center for Sustainable Living in Las Marías, PR. Language: Must be fluent in Spanish. Member Duties : TheAgroforestry & Experiences Systems Designer will help support the Agroecology Program supporting the various agroecological initiatives within the program. This includes training and empowering beginning farmers to initiate their own agriculture enterprises in an effort to address the urgent need to create new jobs and increase food security in the region. They will also support the network of farmers in the region, collaborating with local producers to support marketing and sales of agricultural products. They will also serve as Plenitud PR’s instructors and staff with the development of the demonstration plots at the Plenitud PR Center for Sustainable Living, Las Marías Community Center & Resiliency Hub, and partner farms.
