Construction Foreman
J Pratt Construction is looking for an experienced excavation foreman. Be part of a small company who does a wide variety of work including road/sidewalk construction, box culverts, retaining walls, drainage, concrete flat work, grading and much more. The possibilities are endless as we provide a dynamic skillset with projects ranging from $5,000 to $4 million.
Typical responsibilities would include the following:
- Oversee and ensure that all safety rules are being followed at all times
- Lead a crew of 1-5 people daily
- Lead and perform tasks such as layout, excavating and grading, installing drainage pipe and structures, conduit, concrete, etc.
- Perform reports of daily work and communicate jobsite progress with owner
- Plan construction activities for jobsite and confirm materials required are available
- Winter work is available for the right person with the right skillset, or take optional Jan-Feb layoff
Job Requirements
- Must have a valid Class C License
- Minimum 3 years of civil construction/education experience
- Positive attitude and team player
- Self-motivated
- Ability to read drawings, plans, and blueprints and ability to convey to others
- Aptitude in math and strong problem-solving abilities
- Good physical condition and stamina
- Be home for dinner every night as typical hours are 6:30 to 5:00, Monday thru Friday.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $125,000.00 per year
