Job Description:
Bluebonnet Medical Services is seeking EMTs to provide on-site medical standby coverage for multiple upcoming events in the Austin area. This is a great opportunity to pick up flexible shifts while working in a dynamic event environment.
Our team focuses on providing professional, low-disruption care while supporting both event staff and patrons. Ideal candidates are confident, adaptable, and comfortable working independently or as part of a team.
Event Dates & Schedule:
Friday (March 27)
- Evening shifts approximately 7:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Pay: $20/hour
Saturday (March 28)
- Split shift: 12:00 PM – 5:00 PM and 9:00 PM – 2:00 AM
- Gap between shifts is included as part of total compensation
- Estimated total earnings: ~$240 for the day
Responsibilities:
- Provide basic life support (BLS) care to event attendees and staff
- Conduct patient assessments and provide appropriate treatment within EMT scope
- Maintain readiness of medical equipment and supplies
- Document patient care and incidents appropriately
- Coordinate with event staff, security, and local EMS when needed
Qualifications:
- Current Texas EMT certification (required)
- BLS certification (required)
- Prior 911 or emergency response experience preferred
- Ability to work independently and remain calm under pressure
- Strong communication and customer service skills
