SUMMARY (role)
The Senior Project Manager (SPM) is responsible for overseeing a portfolio of transmission and distribution projects in the Northeast. This role manages internal resources and ensures compliance with client requirements across high-priority initiatives. A key aspect of the role involves leading client-facing compliance meetings with multiple stakeholders. The SPM acts as a strategic partner to construction management, aligning project scheduling and execution with customer expectations and regulatory deadline
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Lead and mentor teams across the project lifecycle.
· Manage customer work orders across multiple work streams from initiation to completion to billing.
· Prepare, manage, and report on project pipeline and backlog.
· Ensure field construction aligns with customer priorities and deadlines.
· Facilitate meetings and discussions with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams.
· Review/manage project schedules and constraints, providing input to support customer objectives.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, general contractors, vendors, and suppliers.
· Serve as the primary client contact for coordination, strategic planning, scope management, and compliance.
· Develop and implement project policies, procedures, control systems, and execution plans.
· Ensure deliverables and services meet client expectations.
· Provide regular updates on progress, costs, schedules, procurement, safety, environmental concerns, design issues, and billing to leadership.
· Foster positive working relationships with internal teams, site supervisors, and subcontractors.
· Resolve operational issues and escalate when necessary to minimize delays.
· Manage change orders effectively.
· Lead process improvement initiatives, including but not limited to IT-related enhancements.
· Perform other duties as assigned.

· Valid driver’s license (required for site visits).
· Willingness and ability to travel to project sites across the United States.
Education, Experience, and Credentials
· 10+ years of relevant experience or a university degree in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering, or Construction Management.
· Experience leading and managing projects and teams.
· Pre-contract experience (e.g., bid management, tender coordination, estimating).
· High proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, CAD, Project Schedule and workflow platforms such as Acumatica and QuickBase.
· Extensive experience in the Transmission, Substation and Distribution Utility industry.
· Prior experience working with IBEW construction personnel.
Work Environment
· Office-based with occasional site visits.
· Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and high work volume.
· Extended work hours and flexible shifts may be required based on project needs.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $140,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
