Duties

Perform water damage restoration tasks including extraction, drying, and dehumidification using specialized equipment and power tools
Assist with fire restoration efforts by cleaning soot, smoke damage removal, and debris cleanup
Conduct mold remediation procedures following safety protocols to eliminate mold growth and prevent future issues
Utilize hand tools and construction skills to repair damaged structures, replace drywall, flooring, or other materials as needed
Carry out carpet cleaning and upholstery restoration to restore furnishings to their original condition
Support asbestos abatement projects by following strict safety guidelines and handling materials properly
Maintain cleanliness of work sites through thorough cleaning processes post-restoration work to ensure safety and quality standards are met

Qualifications

Prior experience in the restoration industry or related construction fields is highly preferred
Knowledge of water damage restoration techniques, fire restoration, mold remediation, and asbestos abatement processes
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and carpet cleaning equipment required for various restoration tasks
Ability to follow detailed safety procedures and industry standards during all phases of work
Strong physical stamina with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude towards learning new skills in the restoration industry
Valid driver’s license preferred; ability to operate various tools safely is essential
