Security Supply Logistics Coordinator
Must Reside in Dallas-Fort Worth Area
Position Summary:
The Security Supply Logistics Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the procurement, inventory management, distribution, and replenishment of security-related equipment and supplies across multiple markets or operational regions. This role ensures that all security teams are adequately equipped, supply chains run efficiently, and inventory levels are optimized to meet organizational needs while minimizing waste and cost.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management
- Maintain accurate, real-time tracking of all security equipment and supply inventories (e.g., uniforms, access control devices, surveillance components, radios, PPE).
- Conduct regular audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
- Monitor stock levels and establish reorder points to prevent shortages or overstocking.
- Implement and manage inventory control systems and reporting tools.
- Identify trends in usage to forecast future inventory requirements.
Supply Chain & Logistics Management
- Coordinate procurement of security supplies from approved vendors, ensuring quality, cost-effectiveness, and timely delivery.
- Manage inbound and outbound logistics, including shipping, receiving, and distribution processes.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and logistics partners.
- Resolve supply chain disruptions and proactively mitigate risks.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
Multi-Market Coordination
- Support multiple geographic markets or sites, ensuring consistent supply availability across all locations.
- Collaborate with regional security managers to understand local needs and demand fluctuations.
- Allocate and redistribute supplies between locations based on priority and operational demands.
- Standardize processes and reporting across markets to improve efficiency and visibility.
- Coordinate large-scale deployments, special events, or emergency response supply needs across regions.
Data Analysis & Reporting
- Generate regular reports on inventory levels, supply usage, and logistics performance.
- Analyze data to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
- Track key performance indicators (KPIs) such as order accuracy, delivery timelines, and inventory turnover.
Compliance & Risk Management
- Ensure proper handling, storage, and tracking of sensitive or controlled security equipment.
- Maintain documentation and audit trails for all inventory and supply transactions.
- Support internal and external audits as required.
Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in logistics, inventory management, or supply chain operations (security industry experience preferred).
- Proficiency with inventory management systems and ERP software.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and coordination abilities across multiple teams and locations.
- Analytical mindset with experience in reporting and data-driven decision-making.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience supporting multi-site or multi-market operations.
- Knowledge of security equipment and industry standards.
- Ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
- Problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to logistics challenges.
- Must pass a background/drug test
Working Conditions:
- May require occasional travel between sites or markets.
- Ability to lift and move moderate-weight inventory items as needed.
- Flexibility to respond to urgent supply needs or operational demands.
