JOB TITLE: Logistics Coordinator (Shipping & Receiving)
OBJECTIVE: Verifies and keeps records of routine incoming or outgoing shipments. Compares identifying information on incoming or outgoing shipments to verify against bills of lading, invoices, order or other records. Package and ship products to Customers and Suppliers. Transports goods to and from Customers and Suppliers. Receive goods from suppliers.
SPECIAL WORK CONDITIONS AND AMERICANS WITH DISABILITY REQUIREMENTS:
- Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, crouching, bending and stretching
- Lifting up to 50 lb. without assistance and over 50 lb. with assistance
- Constant exposure to general shop conditions, including machine noise and metal dust
- Constant repetitive use of hands, wrists and arms

Typical Job Requirements
- Demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills
- Assist with packaging and shipping per customer specifications
- Unload and distribute items to proper locations
- Assist with building boxes, cartons, crates, etc. for shipping detail parts
- Maintain shipping and inventory records
- Knowledge of Company policies and procedures
- Limited driving to pick-up/deliver to various locations
- Ability to make runs to suppliers and customer facilities in company vehicles
- Assist with making receiving transactions in the computer system
- Ability to work overtime with little or no notice
- Maintain good housekeeping practices
- Perform limited preventative maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Familiarity of requirements for handling hazardous materials
- Complete bills of lading and arrange for freight carrier pickups
- Ability to navigate customer websites to get advance shipment notifications, barcodes, and shipping stickers for all major customers
- Arrange pickups/deliveries with local customers and suppliers
- Demonstrated knowledge of customer packaging and shipping requirements
- Required to make runs to supplier and customer facilities in company trucks
- Full knowledge of all Hazardous-Materials regulations and interstate shipping regulations along with knowledge of international freight regulations
- Demonstrated ability to make inventory and purchase order receiving transactions
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Production, Warehouse, Customer Support, and Engineering personnel to ensure appropriate scheduling, packaging, and movement of materials
- Responsible for the retention and verification of all shipping records
- Assist coordination of material movement between Customer, Supplier, and production facilities
- Adherence to Company policies and procedures
Education & Experience
- High School or equivalent
- Mechanical aptitude and good work ethic desired
- Typically, three to five years of experience
- Ability to operate a standard forklift within 90 days
- Valid Kansas driver’s license and capability to obtain CDL-B (if required)
- Advanced computer skills including spreadsheet and word processing
