At Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, the Senior System Administrator is responsible for managing and securing the firm's IT infrastructure across all office locations. This role ensures high availability, security, and performance of systems, networks, and cloud services, while supporting modern technologies including AI-driven tools and platforms.
Objectives
- Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable IT infrastructure
- Ensure reliable connectivity across all office locations
- Enhance cybersecurity posture across systems, networks, and users
- Support adoption and governance of AI technologies within the firm
- Maintain disaster recovery and business continuity readiness
Responsibilities
- Administer and maintain cloud environments (Azure, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace)
- Manage Fortinet network infrastructure including firewalls, VPNs, and security appliances across all offices
- Monitor, configure, and optimize network performance and security policies
- Implement and manage cybersecurity tools including endpoint protection, SIEM, MFA, and vulnerability management
- Conduct regular security audits, risk assessments, and compliance checks
- Respond to and mitigate security incidents and threats
- Administer Windows Server infrastructure (Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.)
- Manage identity and access controls (AAD, RBAC, conditional access)
- Automate administrative tasks using scripting tools such as PowerShell
- Support deployment and lifecycle management of hardware and software
- Provide Tier 2/3 support and assist Help Desk operations
- Document systems, procedures, and security protocols
- Evaluate and implement emerging technologies, including AI tools and automation platforms
- Support secure integration and governance of AI technologies (e.g., copilots, legal AI tools, automation workflows)
- Collaborate with stakeholders to improve IT processes and security awareness
Technical skills and qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 5+ years of system administration experience in modern cloud enterprise environments
- Strong knowledge and experience with Azure, Microsoft 365, and cloud security tools
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks and best practices
- Proficiency in Windows Server environments and enterprise networking
- Experience with endpoint management (Intune, Endpoint Central, etc.)
- Familiarity with AI tools, automation, and emerging IT technologies
- Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Fortinet (FortiGate, FortiAnalyzer, FortiManager) preferred
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
The expected salary range for this position is $120,000–$170,000, depending on experience, skills, and location. This role may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus. The firm offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.
