Strategic Execution Role – Operations
The Strategic Execution (SE) team is responsible for designing and delivering strategic initiatives that improve operational efficiency and effectiveness, including expenses, risk, customer and employee experience, and productivity/quality metrics. Projects range from highly strategic, complex problems solved within weeks to large, multi-year initiatives spanning multiple stakeholders. The SE team functions like an internal consulting firm focused on a single client: operations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute initiatives in support of operations strategy.
- Lead initiatives through ideation, scoping, funding (CapEx and OpEx), execution, and benefit delivery.
- Manage multiple initiatives concurrently.
- Apply and promote SE standards for deliverables, project management, reporting, and risk/issue management.
- Create relevant reporting to meet stakeholder needs.
- Provide governance across initiatives.
- Build trusted relationships with senior leaders and key business partners.
- Support financial management of initiatives.
- Contribute thought leadership on industry trends, operations, consulting best practices, and analytics.
- Support shaping the vision, brand, strategy, and execution of the SE function.
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years of progressive experience supporting large-scale, enterprise-wide transformative initiatives, preferably in financial services or consulting (Big Four/top-tier management).
- Experience managing strategic and operational transformations.
- Master’s degree or equivalent work experience.
- Strong problem-solving, strategic, analytical, and storyboarding skills.
- Executive presence with the ability to influence without authority.
- Comfortable with ambiguity and high-expectation environments.
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills and adaptability.
- Positive, consultative approach to clients and team members.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint).
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in operations or consulting within the banking/financial services industry.
- Knowledge across multiple areas of banking, finance, consulting, or enterprise transformation.
