Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and experienced carpenter to join our dynamic construction team. As a carpenter, you will play a crucial role in the successful completion of our exciting building projects, contributing your expertise to the construction and repair of various wooden structures and components.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and specifications to understand project requirements
- Measure, cut, and assemble wooden frames, walls, floors, drywall
- Install doors, windows, cabinets, and other wooden fixtures
- Perform maintenance and repair work on existing structures
- Collaborate with other tradespeople to ensure the seamless integration of different construction elements
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
Qualifications
- 3-5 years of experience as a carpenter or in a similar construction role
- Proficiency in the use of hand and power tools commonly used in carpentry
- Ability to read and interpret construction documents and blueprints
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Working Conditions
This is a temporary carpentry position with a start date of March 29, 2026. The work will be performed on various construction sites in the Akron/Canton area. The schedule may include long hours, weekend work, and exposure to various weather conditions. Candidates must be physically fit and able to lift heavy materials and equipment.
Compensation and Benefits
This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $25-30 per hour, as well as a comprehensive benefits package.
