ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is redefining airport ground operations through AI-powered software and robotics. Their mission is to make aviation logistics more reliable, efficient, and people-centered. With products ranging from a data and dispatch platform to intelligent equipment coordination tools and robotic conveyor systems, they are building a modern operating ecosystem for airports. The team is based in Boulder and values autonomy, transparency, customer focus, humility, and enthusiasm.
YOUR ROLE & IMPACT
As a Technical Project Manager, you will lead the delivery and ongoing evolution of critical programs within a core product area. Leveraging your aviation background, you will connect advanced engineering solutions with the real-world demands of airport operations. You’ll translate shifting priorities into executable plans, ensuring initiatives are both technically strong and operationally effective, ultimately driving meaningful value for customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- You will own a portfolio of aviation-focused programs end to end, using your understanding of airport environments—such as baggage handling systems, ground operations, maintenance, and cargo—to build practical project plans and anticipate operational challenges in always-on environments.
- You will serve as the central point of coordination between engineering teams and customer stakeholders, translating technical concepts into operational language and vice versa. Your aviation credibility will help you build trust with airline operations leaders, ground handling teams, and airport IT groups.
- You will proactively identify and mitigate technical and operational risks, understanding how changes in software or delivery timelines affect baggage flow, aircraft turnaround, and logistics performance.
- You will manage shifting priorities in a fast-moving environment, balancing competing stakeholder needs while clearly communicating trade-offs and maintaining focus on overall program objectives.
- You will design and implement project management processes suited to high-speed aviation technology development, bringing clarity and structure without unnecessary overhead.
- You will track team capacity, dependencies, and external constraints, actively working to remove blockers and keep progress moving efficiently.
TOOLS & PLATFORMS
JIRA, Agile methodologies, Confluence, Google Workspace, Slack, MS Project or Asana, GitHub
WHAT YOU BRING
- Strong preference for candidates with aviation industry experience, ideally 3–5+ years in technical project management, program leadership, or operational roles within airlines, airports, ground handling, or OEM environments. Familiarity with systems such as BHS, GSE, MRO, cargo, or other airport logistics is highly valued.
- You are an exceptional communicator who can comfortably move between software development discussions and operational conversations on the ramp, in baggage halls, or control rooms.
- You thrive in ambiguous, fast-changing environments and excel at creating clarity, structure, and alignment where none previously existed.
- You take a hands-on approach to removing obstacles, using your industry knowledge to actively solve problems rather than simply tracking progress.
- You believe in flexible, pragmatic processes that prioritize outcomes and adaptability over rigid frameworks.
- You influence through collaboration and trust, partnering closely with engineering leaders and customer stakeholders while reporting into Customer Success leadership.
Why Join
You’ll help shape foundational technology used across airports globally, directly influencing how people and goods move around the world. You’ll own mission-critical initiatives from concept through delivery and see the tangible impact of your work. You’ll collaborate with a high-caliber, humble, and driven team and enjoy benefits such as unlimited PTO, health coverage, hybrid flexibility in Boulder, and the excitement of building from the ground up.
