The Opportunity:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in architectural millwork or a related construction field, with a proven ability to manage complex projects from inception to completion. You will be a critical link between our clients, design team, and production shop, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of architectural millwork projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, execution, and closeout.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, architects, and contractors, maintaining clear and consistent communication.
- Review architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to develop comprehensive project plans.
- Collaborate with our in-house design and drafting team to ensure accurate interpretation of client visions.
- Oversee the procurement of materials and ensure timely delivery to the shop.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement effective solutions to keep projects on track.
- Coordinate with the production shop to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to quality standards.
- Conduct site visits as needed for measurements, coordination, and installation oversight.
- Manage project budgets, including cost tracking, change orders, and invoicing.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain meticulous project documentation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in architectural millwork, custom cabinetry, or a similar high-end woodworking environment.
- Strong understanding of woodworking techniques, materials, and finishes.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and specifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficient in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Buildertrend) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
