Vice President, Operations
The Vice President of Operations is a senior executive leader responsible for driving operational excellence, consistent project execution, and profitable growth across the organization. Reporting to the President, this role oversees construction operations and aligns project management, field operations, and corporate leadership to ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
This leader partners closely with preconstruction and business development teams to ensure seamless project transitions from award through close‑out, strengthen operational discipline, and support sustainable, scalable growth. The VP of Operations is a visible, hands‑on leader who sets clear expectations, builds strong teams, and ensures predictable, high‑performing outcomes across multiple divisions or business units.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide enterprise‑wide leadership over construction and operational execution, with full accountability for safety, quality, schedule, cost, and risk management
- Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing operational leaders by fostering a culture of servant leadership, accountability, continuous learning, and disciplined execution
- Champion standardized processes and best practices to improve consistency, collaboration, and long‑term operational scalability
- Own divisional financial performance, including forecasting, backlog, margins, KPIs, and risk, ensuring predictable outcomes and sustainable growth
- Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned, encouraging innovation, and raising performance standards across teams
- Build and maintain strong, long‑term client and industry relationships through trust, responsiveness, and consistent delivery
- Serve as a client‑facing executive who addresses challenges directly and follows through on commitments while reinforcing the company’s values and reputation

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or related field required; MBA strongly preferred
- 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in the construction industry
- Proven success overseeing multiple divisions or lines of business within a construction organization
- Strong executive leadership capabilities with a demonstrated track record of operational and financial performance
- Advanced knowledge of construction operations, project delivery systems, and risk management
- Excellent strategic thinking, communication, and decision‑making skills
- Willingness to travel as required
