We’re seeking a Commercial Construction Project Manager with a proven track record in managing commercial construction projects ranging from $3MM to $20MM, inclusive of ground-up projects. This role requires a knowledgeable builder, strategic thinker and confident leader who can take full ownership of complex construction projects from pre-construction through closeout.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multiple commercial construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to scope, budget, and schedule.
- Coordinate and communicate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Oversee and develop project schedules, identify critical path milestones, and mitigate potential roadblocks.
- Review and interpret construction documents, drawings, and specifications with accuracy and foresight.
- Conduct on-site visits to assess quality, progress, and safety; resolve risks and implement corrective actions when needed.
- Manage budgets, monitor project costs, and direct cost control strategies and change orders.
- Guide and mentor project teams.
- Facilitate the buyout process and scope alignment.
- Champion jobsite safety and enforce compliance with OSHA and company safety policies.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and owners.
- Document all phases of project execution and maintain organized project records.
- Ensure smooth project closeout, including punch list completion, financial reconciliation, and turnover to the client.
- Assist with estimating and bid process.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of lead/full-charge project management experience for a Commercial General Contractor, inclusive of ground-up construction projects. (REQUIRED)
- Strong knowledge of construction means, methods, and best practices across a variety of commercial sectors.
- Exceptional organizational, leadership, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Proven ability to foster a collaborative team environment and motivate others to succeed.
- Deep understanding of construction administration, local building codes, and safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Building Science, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proficiency with industry-standard software, including Microsoft Project, Building Connected, and Microsoft Office.
