Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimize all aspects of our supply chain operations within the automotive sector. This role is critical in ensuring the timely delivery of materials, managing strategic sourcing initiatives, maintaining supplier performance, and ensuring compliance with customer EDI requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate Planning of Resources
- Organize and coordinate incoming and outgoing material and information flows, including customer order processing and delivery management
- Participate in the development of the Industrial and Commercial Plan (PIC) and Master Production Plan (MPP), and facilitate monthly meetings
- Define logistics action plans in collaboration with production to meet service and inventory objectives
- Plan material flow requirements based on sales forecasts and production workload
Manage Product, Component, and Packaging Inventory
- Support supplier selection through performance scoring in partnership with Purchasing
- Oversee inventory levels, accuracy, valuation, storage conditions, and FIFO compliance
- Define, analyze, and communicate key performance indicators (KPIs)
- Lead inventory processes, including cycle counts and identification of obsolete stock
Lead and Develop Your Team
- Define department structure and align resources with business objectives
- Conduct performance evaluations and support employee development
- Foster a motivated, unified, and high-performing team environment
- Ensure adherence to procedures, work instructions, and company standards
- Participate in HR processes including workforce planning, training needs, and performance management
Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field
- Advanced degree preferred
Experience
- 5–7 years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics
- Demonstrated leadership experience in the automotive industry
- Proven success in managing delivery crises and customer expectations
Skills
- Strong knowledge of industrial delivery processes
- Experience with inventory management (FIFO)
- Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
