Currently, DSJ Global is partnered with a leading manufacturing organization committed to operational excellence and continuous improvement. The Manufacturing engineer will play a key role in supporting automated production systems. In this role, the Manufacturing Engineer will work closely with maintenance and production teams to ensure equipment reliability, troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues, and drive process improvements that enhance efficiency and safety.
As the Manufacturing Engineer, you will:
- Strong expertise in PLC programming and automation systems, with the ability to mentor and guide other engineers in control systems and machine integration
- Lead PLC programming and troubleshooting for automated equipment and provide technical guidance to other engineers
- Manage equipment systems and perform investigations to determine root cause, develop countermeasures, create and revise procedures, and provide training to reduce or eliminate risks
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance and Engineering teams on process design, optimization, and the implementation of new technologies
- Deep understanding of manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, injection molding, assembly lines)
- Knowledge of Toyota Production System (TPS) and Six Sigma principles for process optimization
- Familiarity with quality management systems and compliance with ISO standards
- Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor, including tasks outside of primary job responsibilities when necessary
- Design and implement tooling and process solutions using SolidWorks and AutoCAD.
The Manufacturing Engineer should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering (or equivalent experience).
- Hands-on experience with automated manufacturing equipment and systems.
- Strong knowledge of PLC troubleshooting, electrical controls, and mechanical systems.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
