Responsibilities

Coordinate and dispatch drivers for deliveries and pickups in a timely and efficient manner
Manage and optimize delivery routes to ensure timely service while minimizing costs
Communicate with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support
Monitor the status of deliveries and promptly address any issues that arise during transit
Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities and driver schedules
Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth communication and operations
Assist in the training and onboarding of new dispatch personnel as needed

Requirements

Proven experience as a dispatcher or in a related logistics role
Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances
Familiarity with dispatching software and GPS systems
Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
High school diploma or equivalent educational background; additional training in logistics or transportation is a plus
