Role Description
The Lead Dispatcher will oversee daily logistics operations, ensuring timely and efficient coordination of transportation services. Responsibilities include managing schedules, assigning drivers, tracking shipments, communicating with clients and drivers, and resolving logistical issues. This is a full-time role, based on-site at our Houston, TX facility, requiring strong leadership and problem-solving skills to meet customer expectations and optimize operations.
Qualifications
- Experience in routing, scheduling, and coordinating transportation logistics
- Proficiency in using logistics software, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office tools
- Strong communication skills for interacting with clients, staff, and drivers
- Leadership and team management capabilities
- Problem-solving skills, including the ability to handle issues and unexpected challenges effectively
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Proficiency in meeting deadlines and managing multiple tasks effectively
- Knowledge of the logistics or transportation industry is preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications or additional training are a plus
