Overview
We are seeking a skilled roofer who knows how to shingle and dry in at a experienced past and a experienced Forman to lead our roofing crew on various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in dimensional roofing, with expertise in framing, chimney flashing , and overseeing quality control. As a Forman, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operations on the construction site, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and to high-quality standards. Your leadership will be crucial in guiding your team through the tear off and install of the roofing project.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction workers on-site.
- Interpret and work from schematics to ensure accurate project execution.
- Oversee framing carpentry tasks, ensuring structural integrity and compliance with building codes.
- Ensure all work is plumb and level, maintaining high standards of quality.
- Assist with heavy lifting and movement of materials as needed.
- Train and mentor team members in roofing techniques
- Conduct regular inspections of work progress and quality control checks.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and clients regarding project updates.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- Strong skills in fabricating and restoring various structures.
- Proficiency in frame carpentry techniques and roofing
- Ability to read and interpret schematics and work orders.
- Physical capability to perform heavy lifting and stand for extended periods.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate a diverse team.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices on construction sites.
