Our client is seeking a dynamic Director of Operations to oversee and optimize all facets of our business operations in the Asheville, North Carolina area. This role is pivotal in ensuring the efficiency, quality, safety, and profitability of the organization while driving strategic initiatives to support growth. Collaborating with various departments, you will lead production, supply chain, and maintenance teams to achieve operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Direct daily manufacturing operations to consistently meet quality, delivery, safety, and cost objectives.

• Develop and implement operational strategies and key performance indicators aligned with company goals.

• Oversee production planning, scheduling, and capacity utilization to maximize efficiency.

• Ensure manufacturing processes comply with quality standards and regulatory requirements.

• Manage procurement, inventory control, and distribution to optimize supply chain performance.

• Lead initiatives to improve supplier relationships, reduce lead times, and mitigate risks.

• Champion health, safety, and environmental standards across all operations.

• Track and analyze operational performance metrics, identifying opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency.

• Build and mentor high-performing teams with a focus on accountability and strong attention to detail in development.

• Drive continuous improvement efforts and support scaling for growth and new product introductions.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in operations management or related fields.
• Proven expertise in overseeing manufacturing and production processes.
• Strong knowledge of supply chain management, procurement, and logistics.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven culture.
• Experience implementing Lean manufacturing, 5S, or similar methodologies.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to track and improve performance metrics.
• Familiarity with quality management systems and regulatory compliance.
• Strong communication and leadership skills to effectively collaborate across departments.
