Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to oversee and manage mechanical installation and fabrication projects across industrial, food-grade, and pharmaceutical environments. This role is responsible for coordinating field crews, managing schedules and budgets, and ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with customer specifications.

Our mechanical division specializes in equipment installations, process piping, stainless steel welding using Orbital Welding Technologies, and complex mechanical systems supporting production, packaging, and distribution facilities. The Mechanical Project Manager will work closely with field supervisors, millwright crews, welders, and client stakeholders to ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Plan and schedule equipment installations, piping systems, and mechanical upgrades
Oversee installation of process piping, stainless steel piping, sanitary systems, and mechanical equipment
Review project drawings, specifications, and scope requirements
Monitor project budgets, schedules, and labor allocations
Maintain communication with clients, field supervisors, and internal teams
Assist in planning and coordinating plant shutdowns, maintenance work, and emergency repairs
Support estimating, change orders, and project documentation
Identify and resolve project challenges to keep work moving forward efficiently

Qualifications

Experience managing industrial mechanical or millwright projects
Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, equipment installation, and fabrication
Experience working in manufacturing, food processing, or pharmaceutical facilities preferred
Ability to read mechanical drawings, piping layouts, and fabrication plans
Strong leadership and coordination skills for managing field crews and subcontractors
Experience managing project schedules, budgets, and change orders
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Ability to work in fast-paced industrial environments and manage multiple projects
