Position Overview
- Debris Monitors serve as on-site representatives responsible for observing, documenting, and reporting debris removal operations. This role involves monitoring collection and disposal activities at designated pick-up sites, debris management areas, waterways, and public rights-of-way.
- This is immediate, temporary work. No prior experience is required — paid training will be provided. The position does not involve physical debris removal. We are seeking dependable, self-directed individuals who can manage multiple responsibilities, meet deadlines, and work independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Observe and document loading activities involving trucks, bobcats, front-end loaders, and other equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards and applicable federal guidelines.
- Record load volumes, vehicle types, and debris categories using electronic devices and written logs.
- Monitor hauling routes and verify that only eligible storm-related debris is collected from public property.
- Track and document weight tickets and disposal site activity.
- Communicate professionally with team members, contractors, government officials, and members of the public.
- Confirm that debris is properly cleared from roadways and private driveways before contractors move on.
- Provide daily updates to supervisors and project managers regarding progress, issues, and operational status.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable, insured vehicle for daily use.
- Working Smartphone
- Ability to work extended schedules, including weekends — approximately 12+ hour shifts, up to 7 days per week as needed.
- Must provide valid I-9 documentation for employment eligibility.
- Ability to learn project-specific applications.
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
- Professional demeanor with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand for long periods.
- Ability to walk on uneven surfaces and navigate stairs.
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions, including rain and extreme heat.
- Exposure to loud equipment and active work sites for extended periods.
Employment Terms
This is a temporary, as-needed position tied to disaster recovery operations. Employment is at-will and will conclude upon completion of the project needs.
This is a non-commission role with the potential to earn substantial income in a short period of time.
