SVP of Operations: Electrical Equipment Manufacturing Platform
Location: Greater Philadelphia Area, relocation available
Compensation: Up to $300k-$350K base + 50% bonus
A private equity-backed, high-growth electrical equipment manufacturing platform is seeking a Senior Vice President of Operations to lead its Electrical Equipment Center of Excellence.
This division represents approximately $450M in revenue, 1,000 employees, and 10 U.S. manufacturing sites, with additional acquisitions planned. The business designs, manufactures, and tests low- and medium-voltage switchgear and advanced power distribution systems serving data centers, utilities, and industrial infrastructure markets.
This is a newly created executive leadership role with full operational accountability across a multi-site network.
Position Overview
The SVP of Operations will provide enterprise leadership across:

This leader will be responsible for scaling operational performance, driving margin expansion, improving execution predictability, and building a high-performance operating platform capable of supporting continued growth and acquisition integration.
Travel: ~50%
Reporting: President, Electrical Equipment Division
Key Responsibilities
- Lead multi-site manufacturing operations across 10 facilities
- Drive safety-first culture and ISO-compliant quality standards
- Improve EBITDA through productivity, labor optimization, and operational discipline
- Standardize processes and operating systems across acquired sites
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure on-time, on-budget project execution
- Develop and elevate the operational leadership bench
- Oversee capital planning, manufacturing strategy, and cost competitiveness
- Implement lean manufacturing and operational excellence initiatives
- Ensure scalable systems, ERP/MES alignment, and performance visibility
Ideal Candidate Profile
- 15+ years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience
- Multi-site operational leadership experience required
- Background in electrical equipment, switchgear, power distribution, or related engineered products strongly preferred
- Engineering foundation (Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial) required
- Experience integrating acquisitions within a PE-backed or high-growth environment
- Demonstrated P&L accountability and margin expansion track record
- Deep knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, ISO 9001/14001/45001
- Strong executive presence with the ability to lead at enterprise scale
