Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead utilities and solvent system projects within a regulated API pharmaceutical manufacturing environment.
This role will oversee critical utility systems, hazardous solvent infrastructure, and integration of plant-wide control systems in active manufacturing facilities.
Responsibilities
- Oversee installation and integration of utility systems (steam, condensate, chilled water, cooling water, HVAC, compressed air, nitrogen, vacuum)
- Manage implementation/expansion of solvent storage, transfer, distillation, and recovery systems
- Ensure compliance with cGMP, process safety, hazardous area classification (Class I Div / ATEX), and environmental regulations
- Manage solvent tank farms, distribution piping, loading/unloading stations
- Coordinate installation of distillation and solvent recovery skids
- Oversee thermal oxidizers, scrubbers, and emissions control systems
- Lead BMS/EMS/SCADA integration for utilities monitoring and control
- Manage plant shutdown planning, tie-ins, and redundancy/reliability upgrades
Skills
- Experience managing projects in API or pharmaceutical manufacturing
- Strong knowledge of utilities systems and solvent environments
- Experience with hazardous area electrical compliance (Class I Div / ATEX)
- Familiarity with BMS, EMS, or SCADA systems
- Experience managing construction and execution in active production environments
