JOB OVERVIEW:
The Director of Information Technology manages all financial and operational aspects of the Information Technology department. The position provides direction in the development and usage of information and technology for all areas of the hotel. The duties for this position may include network and systems administration, network engineering, PBX system administration, hardware and software installation, repair, vendor management, asset tracking, information technology security, disaster recovery, and setting information technology policies and procedures.
REPORTS TO: Jair Garcia - Chief Financial Officer.

Job involves working:
- Under variable temperature conditions (or extreme heat or cold).
- Under variable noise levels.
- Outdoors/indoors.
- Around fumes and/or odor hazards.
- Around dust and/or mite hazards.
- Around chemicals.
- Have experience with Springer-Miller host system, Spasoft, Touch, Micros, Daylight, ADP interfaces/clocks, Swisscom interfaces, Meraki Wifi network, Firewall Maintenance, Smart TV troubleshooting, Network trouble shooting, IDEAS, Datavision, Booking Engine integration (Leo, Leading, Expedia, Trust View Pro, Bookings.com, Hotelbeds, TravelClick, and the like), Navis, Digital Alchemy, Springboard, Salesforce, Kalibri, Rate Triger and/or other industry related systems.
- Have the skillset and be able to manage, support, facilitate installations and upgrades to all building software suites included but not limited to Daylight, RoomViewer, GoCocierge, Easylobby, Vertilink, Hotsos, Swisscom, Springer Miller products (Host, SpaSoft, Touch), Micros, Microsoft Dynamics – GP.
- Have the skillset and be able to Maintain, troubleshoot, Assign/relocate phone extensions, voicemail support, and arrange for repairs of PBX phone system with Windstream (Office phones, Hotel Guest room phones, InComm phone billing system, Public Areas, and Residents).
- Have the skillset and be able to perform Mobil Device management included but not limited to: account negotiations, management, new device orders, set-up, policy adherence, troubleshooting devices, monitor usage, and cell phone monitoring system.
- Ability to manage, troubleshoot, support, upgrade, and replace hardware peripherals such as computers, laptops, monitors, scanners, copiers, Smart TV’s, receipt printers, projectors, sound systems, Telephone equipment, security access system (Doors (Marlok), Elevators (Oxiom), Pool & Beach (EasyLobby)) and the like.
- Manage, Support, upgrade, and facility Installation network services included but not limited to Exchange server, print server, network security management, and user set-up.
- Firewall management included but not limited to VPN management, Port management, Web security management, Intrusion prevention, and Network protection.
- Manage, monitor, maintain, upgrade IT infrastructure included but not limited to Fiber Connections, IDF rooms, CAT5 connections, Server Rack, Swisscom Rack, PureHD racks, Audio Racks, Security Cameras, UPS Management, .
- MS Office Suite all versions, Windows XP and above, Windows 2003 and above, Active Directory, Microsoft Exchange.

KEY RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Executive Committee Members, all Department Managers and Assistants, Staff.
External: Resort guests/visitors, Resident guest/visitors, the Owners, vendors, corporate office personnel.
Qualifications
Essential:
- Master's degree (M. A.) or equivalent; or four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.3 – 5 years of experience as IT supervisor/manager in a similar size operation.
- LANGUAGE SKILLS: Fluency in English. Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents as it relates to IT field. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.
- MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- REASONING ABILITY: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- COMPUTER SKILLS: To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Design software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Inventory software;; Order Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software. In Addition must:
- The Director of IT will be on-call for emergency issues that arise after normal business hours.
