Job Description:
We are seeking experienced Hardwood Flooring Technicians and Subcontractors to join our talented team. Qualified candidates should have a strong background in all aspects of hardwood flooring, including sand and finish, pre-finished installation, and LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) installation. Attention to detail and experience in full trowel glue installation are essential for this role.
Work is currently focused primarily on the North Coast of Oregon but is transitioning toward the Portland area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Installation & Glue-Down:
- Expertly install various hardwood flooring materials, such as solid hardwood, engineered wood, and LVT, following industry standards.
- Conduct full trowel glue installations, ensuring proper adhesive application for optimal floor performance.
- Prepare subfloors to ensure they are properly leveled, clean, and ready for installation.
- Sanding & Finishing:
- Perform sanding and refinishing of hardwood floors using industry-standard equipment and techniques.
- Apply stains, sealers, and finishes to achieve the desired look and durability.
- Repair & Restoration:
- Seamlessly repair/restore floors, matching existing wood for invisible results.
- Custom Work:
- Support custom stairs (treads, risers, banisters) and detailed inlays using sustainable materials.
- Customer Service:
- Engage with clients on-site, delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring their needs and expectations are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace for safety and efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in hardwood flooring installation and finishing.
- Proficiency in full trowel glue installation techniques for hardwood flooring.
- Experience in sanding and finishing techniques for hardwood and engineered flooring.
- Familiarity with LVT installation is advantageous.
- Knowledge of diverse wood species, materials, and finishes.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills and customer service aptitude.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
